Winter Sports include skiing  and snowboarding at Dodge Ridge Ski 
Resort, sledding at Leland High Sierra Snowplay Park, or snowmobiling
near the town of Strawberry.  Even ice skating is available locally.

Swimming and water-sports are available at Pinecrest Lake, Beardsley
Reservoir, Lake Tulloch, Cherry Lake, New Melones and Lake Don Pedro.

Ride horseback at Pinecrest or Kennedy Meadows Resort.

Explore nearby National or State Parks such as YosemiteColumbia
       ​Calaveras Big Trees, or the ghost town at Bodie.

Visit the nearby historical Gold Rush communities of Jamestown or Sonora

Fish in the numerous lakes and streams throughout Tuolumne County.  
       Hike in the EmigrantHoover, or Carson-Iceberg Wilderness Areas.

Experience Class IV and V Rapids on a white-water rafting trip down the 
Tuolumne River or Cherry Creek.  To make reservations in advance, you can
contact one of the many local outfitters such as Sierra Mac River Trips or 
​       Zephyr White Water Expeditions.

Spelunk or just visit the area's many caverns including Moaning Cavern
​       Mercer Caverns, and California Caverns.
