Regional, State & National Parks

Sonora Pass is located just north of Yosemite National Park.  Access to Yosemite can be made via both east and west entrances and may require some time to drive to especially during peak season.  Also nearby are several State and regional parks including historic Columbia, the ghost town of Bodie and Calaveras Big Trees.  Pinecrest Lake is located just 20 minutes away and Lake Tulloch, New Melones, Don Pedro, and McClure are also very close.  Railtown 1897, Moaning Cavern Adventure Park, California Cavern, and Mercer Caverns are all must-sees that are nearby.

Indoor & Outdoor Recreation

Year-round recreational opportunities including skiing at nearby Dodge Ridge, sledding and tubing at Leland Snowplay, motorcycle and ATV fun at Niagara OHV, and of course the abundant public lands and wilderness areas that offer hiking, horseback riding, snowmobiling, hunting and fishing and much more.  For those that like to gamble, the kid-friendly Black Oak Casino is ten minutes away.  The casino offers several restaurants, a performance venue, an arcade and a bowling alley.  Shopping and dining opportunities are plentiful in Sonora, Twain Harte, Jamestown and many other locations.  Additional activities our guests enjoy include golf, wine tasting, river rafting, visiting the apple ranches in the Fall, and nearby live theater.
